Ongoing postdivorce conflict: effects on children of joint custody and frequent access

Description: Parental conflict and children’s behavioral and social adjustment were measured at two periods in 100 families entrenched in custody and visitation disputes. More frequent access to both parents was associated with more emotional and behavioral problems in the children; different effects were noted for boys and girls.
